Ribbons of Hope: a Collaborative Community Art Project for Ferguson, Missouri

We are inviting the people from Ferguson and beyond to look toward the future while engaging in a creative process with potentially thousands of others. The ribbons will be displayed at 2 locations in Ferguson, with hopes of spreading to additional sites. The Ribbons of HOPE sites will provide a “safe space” for people to reflect, connect, commune and exchange dialogue. OUR HOPE is to encourage community connection, creative collaboration, expression & dialogue of HOPE, wishes, dreams and prayers~ as the community moves forward. Our WISH is that Ribbons of HOPE will be unifying, helping to nurture and strengthen community spirit and build bridges toward the future of Ferguson.

Material: Weather resistant ribbons 14-18” long
Permanent or paint markers

Directive: On a ribbon, write &/or draw with a permanent marker about your vision of hope toward the future, in a positive, creative, productive, prayerful, and/or wishful kind of way.

*Ribbons can be mailed to: Gussie Klorer, 200 Bemiston, Suite 309, Clayton, MO 63105. Timely completion of ribbons may be important.
